What is FASD?

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) describes the range of effects that can occur in an individual who was exposed to prenatal alcohol.

These effects may include physical, mental, behavioural and learning disabilities with lifelong implications.

Acting on the premise that a person does not have the ability to change their environment, but the environment must change to meet the needs of the person, the Network created our Mission Statement.

Our Mission

To sustain a comprehensive service network aimed at effectively identifying and responding to the unique needs of the children, youth, adults and their families affected by FASD in Sioux Lookout and the region.
